I'm Bristol, a Master Certified Wedding Planner, detail-oriented queen, architect of joyful occasions, and your task manager best friend. Nearly a decade ago, I found my calling. Not only am I extremely passionate about helping couples have the celebrations of their dreams, but I saw a need in the event industry for a more eco-conscious approach. I want every couple to simply show up to their wedding day without a single worry and feeling completely present. I want you to enjoy the planning process just as much as the wedding day and feel that you are in such good hands you can simply focus on making cherished memories with your loved ones. As your wedding planner, I will work in the background to ensure that the i’s are dotted and t’s are crossed, no details have fallen through the cracks, and that you're celebrating as sustainably as possible.
Over the years, I have refined my comprehensive services to meet the unique needs of every couple on one of the most important days of their lives. My system of spreadsheets is equipped with formulas that make staying organized and on track effortless. Additionally, I offer a suite of software tools that elevate and enhance the experience you’ll receive when you choose to work with me. I take pride in my ability to be the calming presence in every room and manage even the smallest details with ease. I understand that couples invest a significant amount of money in this very special occasion which is why I trust the value I provide as an experienced professional with the ability to flawlessly execute your plans and protect your investment.
Outside of my life as a wedding planner, you’ll find me with coffee at all times, getting out on bike rides along the lake with my husband and daughter, or hanging out at home finding new projects to tackle. I enjoy cooking, staying up-to-date with Bravo reality shows, and discussing the latest Taylor Swift easter eggs. I am lucky to have married my best friend, whom I met in high school, and have quite possibly the sweetest daughter in the world with. We enjoy going on camping and hiking trips and are currently working our way through all of the national parks together as a family!
I’m Grace, an Associate Planner, specializing in all things details and organization. Some may call me Type A, but what can I say, I like a little organized fun! I think life moves so fast that we often forget to celebrate both little and big moments. I love that weddings create a space for pure celebration and gathering with all your favorite people. I love when couples incorporate personal touches that tell their love story, whether that be through photos or objects that remind them of an inside joke. One of my couples wrote notes by hand to each of their guests telling them how special they were to the couple. You could feel the love in the room when everyone sat down for dinner and read their letter that was placed at their seat. Sometimes it's the simplest details that are the most meaningful. When a couple incorporates their personalities into the style of the wedding, it makes for a really special experience.
I’m originally from Indiana, so Hoosier Hospitality is in my DNA. I want you to feel really cared for and comfortable throughout the whole planning process and especially on your wedding day. Know that I’ll be looking out for all the little details so you can focus on celebrating your love and enjoying time with loved ones.
While I’m not wedding planning, you might find me baking with my sourdough starter or whipping up a meal for my next dinner party with friends. I enjoy spending time outside in the fresh air and tending to my little garden in the summer. If it’s the holiday season, I’m curled up on the couch with a big bowl of popcorn (probably with cheese!) and a Hallmark movie. I guess it's no surprise I love weddings! I’m excited to plan with you and help create a really special day!
Sustainable Soirées has five core values that our team uses in the planning of every event...
Our team uses 100% recycled paper and plans every event using an online suite of planning tools, documents, and spreadsheets that are also accessible by our clients at any time
As a member of the Green Wedding Alliance, we prioritize working with like-minded vendors who implement green practices both in the office and in the execution of events.
Our design services provide couples with unique ideas that don't require purchasing single-use items. We pull inspiration directly from their venue to utilize the space wisely and we provide recommendations for stylish, reusable rental items.
We arrange composting services for food waste and floral repurposing services so that your beautiful arrangements can have a second life at nursing homes and charity organizations.
We plan weddings primarily in the Chicago area, but, from time to time, we will drive to Wisconsin and Michigan. We value the close relationships we have with local wedding professionals, so by staying local we ensure consistent results for both our team as well as our clients. Not only do we support our local economy this way, but we also reduce our carbon footprint by not traveling more than 120 miles.
We plan and design events that leave a lasting impression on your guests, not the environment
